Meeting Point: COEP college ground, Shivajinagar

Andhar [] in Marathi means Darkness and Ban [] means jungle, so Andharban [] means The Forest where you will feel darkness during the daytime you can call it as Dark Forest!

This is a simple trail of around 13 kilometers passing through dense forest on the edge of valleys of Tamhini ghat … overlooking the waters of the Kundalika river ..


Trek schedule: (PUNE)

06.00 am: Gather at Shivajinagar

06.30 am: Bus starts from Shivajinagar

08.30 am: Reach at Base village Pimpri

08.45 am: Breakfast

09.30 am: Trek starts with a round of introduction and few instructions

01.00 pm: Break for lunch

Relax, explore, spend time, enjoy the view and make sure you will get the profile pic

02.00 pm: Trek continues

04.30 pm: Reach base village

05.00 pm: Snacks

05.30 pm: Start return journey

8.30 pm: Reach Pune

Things to carry:

1. Two water bottles ( 2 ltr at least)

2. Rain cheater

3. Ready to eat food (Biscuits, palm cakes, thepla)

4. Polythene bag to keep wet cloths

5. Extra pair of cloths

6. Good trekking/ sports shoes

7. Torch (Must)

8. Personal medicines (if any)

9. Cap, sunglasses, sun cream or cold cream, camera (Optional)



1. The toilet facility will not be available.

2. Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without a refund.

Other Conditions & Indemnity:

I am aware that participating in adventure sports like kayaking, cycling, trekking, climbing, and rappelling has some inherent risks of illness, injury or death. This may be a result of the negligence of others, myself, forces of nature or other agencies knew or unknown. Rescue and medical services may not be able to reach me in time.

I hereby fully assume all risk of illness, injury or death, and the Kayakers, its owners, employees, consultants, agents and associates from all actions, claims or demands from any damages resulting out of my participation in this sporting event. This obligation is binding upon me personally as well as on my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns and all members of my family.

I hereby authorize any medical treatment deemed necessary in the event of any emergency, injury or mishap. I agree to bear all costs of rescue and/or medical services that may be incurred on my behalf.

I recognize that as the provider of services, the Kayakers will operate under a covenant of good faith and fair dealing, but that it may be necessary to terminate any event or adventure excursion due to forces of nature, medical necessities or other reasons. I accept their right to take such actions for the safety of all participants including me.

I understand that though precautions will be taken to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, there can be no guarantee of absolute safety against illness, injury and/or accident and that there are grave and unpredictable elements of risk in any adventure, sport or activity associated with the outdoors.

I agree that any film or photographs of me as a participant becomes the property of The Kayakers and may be used for promotional and commercial purposes.
